Anniversary Dance Songs For Your Nashville, Tennessee Wedding

Nashville Tennessee Wedding Photographer Anniversary Dance List

The tradition of anniversary dances at weddings are a great way to celebrate marriage, rather than just a wedding. It recognizes the beauty of marriages and the life couples have built together. If you haven’t heard of an anniversary dance, it is when the DJ asks all of the married couples to come out to the dance floor. Little by little, the DJ asks couples to come off the dance floor based on how long they have been married. Eventually, the couple who has been married the longest will be the last ones on the dance floor. This couple then offers the newlyweds marriage advice. This can be anywhere from serious advice to funny advice. Either way, it is so fun!

Here are some of my favorite songs to use for anniversary dances!

Remember When by Alan Jackson

“Remember when / We vowed the vows and walked the walk / Gave our hearts, made the start, and it was hard / We lived and learned life threw curves / There was joy, there was hurt / Remember when”

Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars

“When I see your face / There's not a thing that I would change 'cause you're amazing / Just the way you are / And when you smile / The whole world stops and stares for a while / 'Cause girl you're amazing / Just the way you are”

From The Ground Up by Dan + Shay

“Grandma and grandpa painted a picture of sixty-five years / And one little house / More than a memory / More than saying I do / Kiss you goodnight's and I love you's”

Perfect by Ed Sheeran

“Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms / Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song / When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath / But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight”

Then by Brad Paisley

“And I remember, taking you back to right where I first met you, / You were so surprised / There were people around, but I didn't care / I got down on one knee right there and once again, / I thought I loved you then”
