Elegant Woods Styled Session- Part 1
A few months ago, I ran across this beautiful chair for sale at a local thrift store while on lunch at my day job. I immediately fell in love with it and ideas started running through my head about what I could do with it! They had posted it on their Facebook page, so I was worried someone else would pick it up, but I was in luck. The next day, I happened to have a doctor's appointment (no really, I did!) so I was off of work. After my appointment, I immediately went to the thrift store and picked up this gorgeous chair. At that point, I had no idea what exactly I was going to do with it, but I knew it would eventually come together.
The next week, my mom ran across a beautiful wedding dress for sale at another thrift store for $25. Of course I told her to pick it up, and I would figure out what to do with it later. That is when all of this started to fall in to place.
With the helps of some amazing vendors and friends, I was able to put together this elegant wooded styled session and my vision came together with two different looks!
Now there is also a special story behind the couple in this set of photos; and the groom just so happens to be my cousin. Sean and Amanda have been married 10 years, but never had wedding photos. These two chose to have a quick ceremony right before Sean deployed again, as he was in the Marines. The whole thing was planned in about two weeks. Although their day was beautiful, I wanted to be able to give them the experience of wedding photos as well. When all of this started to come together, I knew I wanted to ask them to be a part of this! At Easter, I brought the wedding dress that I had purchased at a thrift store for Amanda to try on. When it fit, I knew this was all meant to be.
A big thank you to all of the people who helped make this happen!
