“Date Night” Ideas to do During Lockdown in Nashville, Tennessee

Date Night Ideas During Lockdown in Nashville, Tennessee // Heck Designs and Photography

We are all stuck inside right now thanks to COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have date nights. Those date nights may just look a little different than what they usually do. So what are we supposed to do to have quality time with our significant others but also stay safe? Well, I’ve got a few ideas for you.

Get Take Out and Watch a Movie

There are a lot of local restaurants that are still open for take-out orders. This is a great way to support local businesses while still being safe and helping flatten the curve for our hospital systems. Get take-out from your favorite local restaurant, take it home, sit in your living room, and turn on a movie you both have been wanting to see but haven’t had a chance.

Game Night

You know that I love a good game night anyways, but usually, this includes our friends. Unfortunately, that isn’t able to happen right now, but there are still games we can play together! Can’t think of a good board game that is only 2 players? Here is a list of the best ones: Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Bananagrams, Zombie Dice, Forbidden Island

Cook Dinner Together

This isn’t always fun, but it definitely can be! Spend time and make your favorite dinner together. Help each other, work together. Maybe even plan a dessert too! It doesn’t have to be a stressful thing, just have fun with it! Turn on some music and have a dance party while you cook!

Take a Walk or a Hike

Thankfully, we are allowed to be outside and go for a walk during this whole thing! If you have a dog, take them on a nice long walk, or a few throughout the day. Even if it is just in your neighborhood! If you don’t, find a great place to go on a hike. Some of my favorite parks in the Nashville area are Long Hunter State Park, Cedars of Lebanon, and Harpeth River State Park. A few suggestions of places a little farther out are Fall Creek Falls, Fiery Gizzard Trail, and Prentice Cooper State Park. While many parks are still open, I would double check on the park’s website or social media just to ensure that they are still open.

Paint Night

We all have heard of these painting parties, and I’m sure most of us have been to at least one! Grab some art supplies while you are picking up your groceries (if you don’t already have them at home) and have a painting party! Here is a link to a great tutorial for a sunset mountain that looks like it is straight out of East Tennessee. You may mess up or it may not look great, but it doesn’t matter. You will have fun doing it!

So which date night activity are you doing?
